In the beginning, back when we lived in caves, the People didn't really understand what was going on. Why do things happen te way they do? Why are the days longer part of the year and shorter other times...  Why does it get cold and why does it get hot. Why does the moon come and go, and the stars spin in the skies?

So they made up stories and the keepers of the stories were Shamans, they could see the patterns in life and explain them to the People so the people could feel comfort and safety.

The thing that separates man from the beasts they say is tools. But what did Man do with tools after first learning how to use them to feed himself and his People? Man used the tools to make art. First they made art on the walls of the caves. And, as Man moved in to the daylight they inscribed art on rock walls in the canyons and they carved art from the trees. And they wove art from the reeds and molded it from clay. And within all of this art was passed on the wisdom of the Shaman, the seers who could divine the patterns of life; those gifted persons that could see the threads of reality so the People could make sense of their existence.

Lo;   Man evolved and he turned to making art on cloth, carving from fine marble, hammering metals into beautiful creations. Yes Man evolved. Man continued evolving and everything around him changed, faster and faster, and it was more difficult to understand all of the changes in the environment. Shamans struggled to find a way to keep pace with the rapid evolution of Man and the developing cultures of his society. The shaman needed a way to explain these rapid changes as Man evolved to a higher yet more stressful and confusing reality.

And then a Shaman discovered making art on T-shirts as way to explain the changes in the world, by putting art on the People and so they could share what they thought reality is with the other People! Some People said "Rat Fink"others said "Give Peace a Chance". Other people needed to reassure themselves with the solidarity of mass consumerism and wore shirts saying Nike or Reebok or Big Johnson! But the true Shamans are still out there working everyday, discerning the patterns in the fabric of our evolving reality and making fresh and true art on T-shirts -the highest and most pure form of art -art worn by the People to make sense out of nonsense, wisdom from idiocy, and to reveal TRUTH!
